Hello Everyone! Welcome back to another week on the blog! Today, we are continuing a series on faith, and I wanted to talk about the power of your mindset! Your mindset can make or break your faith journey and determine whether or not you see results. Some thought patterns must die if we want to see the best from God, so without further delay, let’s get started!
Victorious Mindset

A victorious mindset is pivotal; you must believe and know you will have victory in your faith walk. If you think you will fail, then you will; but if you think you will win and see a good outcome, then you will! It’s that simple, and too many Christians try to make it more complicated than it is. In Mark 11:22-24, Jesus says, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” In this verse, Jesus talks about the power of your words and the power of believing in those words. The way you speak is a good sign to tell if you genuinely believe you have the victory or not. A person who believes in the power of their words isn’t going to say just anything. They will be picky about what comes out of their mouth; the Bible says that you eat the fruit of your lips, so you have to think, if I say this, do I want it to happen? A person with a victorious mindset speaks faith words; even further, they believe those words affect their life. Therefore, they “will have whatever [they] say.” If you think you’re defeated, you’ll say defeated words, and that is what you’ll experience. So, change the way you think and think victory when you speak! Think, I’m going to win and say it!
Additionally, don’t doubt! Doubting comes with that defeated mentality, whereas when you have a victorious mindset, you’re not going to doubt; you’re going to believe for the best possible outcome! There’s a lot in this verse, but what I want you to take from it is to be mindful of your words and make sure they align with victory and not defeat!
“Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!”
Psalms 32:9
When you have a victorious mindset, joy comes. Why? Because you know you’ve won and that makes you joyful! And who doesn’t like winning? Having joy signifies that you believe and know that God is coming through for you, and you’re happy that it all worked out for your good! Psalms 32:9 says, “Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!” We are glad in the Lord, rejoicing and shouting for joy because we know that God is good, and when we trust in Him, He delivers! As the righteous, we should always expect God to come through because the righteous are never forsaken, which is a reason to be joyful! If you’re believing for something and don’t have joy concerning it, then you’re not genuinely believing. You’re hoping, but hope is not faith! Saying “I hope” versus “I know” is different. Saying “I hope God heals me” is different from “I know God has healed me” and yields two very different outcomes. Saying, I know God will, just sparks joy! So start saying, “I know God will,” and shout for joy because God is good and faithful!
Additionally, a victory mindset comes from knowing who God is and knowing He will never fail you. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” We are not to be dismayed because God is our God! We just spent weeks going through God’s character, so you must know by now just how amazing He is! We are to rely on God’s character and ability, so we should always expect victory! When you are expecting defeat, you are doubting God’s character and need to work on your personal relationship with Him. However, having a victorious mindset means you are secure in your relationship with God and believe Him for who He is. Hebrews 11:6 says, “who comes to God must believe that He is.” How will you accomplish anything in faith if you don’t believe God for who He is? The answer is you don’t, so to have a victorious mindset, you must challenge how you think about and view God.
Obedience / Seeking God

When it comes to faith, you by no means can live in your old lifestyle. You must live a righteous life according to God’s will, so stop thinking that you can do you and also experience God’s blessings. Job 36:11 reads, “If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures.” Notice how it says, “if they obey and serve Him,” they will be blessed. That is the requirement, so your mindset has to be the mind of Christ, a righteous and obedient attitude toward God if you are going to experience God’s goodness. Too many people think they can do whatever they please and look at God like, “where’s my blessing,” but it doesn’t work that way. If you can’t confidently say you obey God’s instruction and serve Him, then you need to examine your relationship with Him.
Seeking God is also essential when it comes to faith. When you seek God’s face through prayer, the Word, sermons, etc., it shows God that you care about your relationship with Him, and He rewards that. Seeking God’s face, in turn, changes your mindset into a victory mindset, a mind of obedience; it is the foundation for cultivating the mindset of faith! Psalm 43:9-10 says, “Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.” It pays to seek and obey God; you will lack and want for nothing. So if you find that you have a lot of needs and wants that aren’t being met, examine how much time you spend with God and how obedient you are to His instruction.
God’s Priority

You are God’s priority! God cares for and loves His children so much and never wants them to suffer, so stop thinking that you’re the last thing on God’s mind when you’re the first! God loves us so much that He sent only Son for us! He saved us from eternal damnation, and you think you’re not His priority? That must change if you are to experience victory in your faith walk; God cares! Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” God is generous, and God is quick to give to His children, you just have to ask and believe, and you will receive!
Furthermore, Matthew 7:11 says, “If they then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to their children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” God will give it to you if you ask! God is constantly providing and looking out for His children, so get out of the mindset that you’re nothing to God and that He doesn’t care about your needs and wants. He is your father, so He will do anything that is within His will for you!
God cares about everything, even the small things, like a parking spot! I always ask for one when I drive to school, and He provides one for me as soon as I ask! God hears you, so have some confidence and know that God does care and you are His priority! Luke 12:22-24, Jesus says to “His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?” You are valuable to God, precious, amazing, special, and all of the above! You mean so much to Him! You don’t have to worry about anything that comes with daily life, not your clothes, food, provision, or money; God has that all handled! Life is more than that; God wants you not to focus on it so you can focus on Him instead. When you’re consumed with providing for yourself, your time with God is taken by working multiple jobs, stressing over bills, or worrying about how things will work out. However, when you allow God to take care of everything, you can spend more time on the things that matter, like your relationship with God.
I hope this helped you today and made you think about your current mindset. Have a victorious mindset, obey God and seek His face, and remember you are God’s priority! God has it all handled, and you will win! God bless!
