Hi, I’m Jaime, and I am so excited you’re here! Here’s a little about me and this blog!

My name is Jaime Salter, and I’m 25 years old from New Jersey, now here in the sunshine state! I like to read, engage in all things music, and most importantly, write, hence the making of this blog.

For a little background, I’ve known about God my entire life, yet haven’t had a close relationship with Him until recently. I’ve grown up Christian my whole life, and I went to church since I was a baby, but I never really experienced God for myself until I was 20. I went through a period of my life when everything seemed desolate, but instead of focusing on my situation, I put it in God’s hands, and that’s when I saw Him change my life completely!

God put this blog on my heart because I have gone through so many ups and downs with my relationship, but I can say I’m finally in a place in my life where I’m choosing God first. When it comes to my age group, it can be hard to have a deep relationship with Christ because of how much sin is normalized in our generation. So I wanted to create this blog as a space for people to get to know God, understand Christianity for what it really is, and live in righteousness without feeling judged. I want the lost to be found and to share the knowledge of God’s incredible power that changes lives. This blog was created to show and share with people what it means to be on fire for God and truly get rid of all lukewarmness in their lives. So, I’m taking you on my journey to know God more!

Let’s continue with learning the fruits of the Spirit! If we want to walk a spiritual life that pleases God, we must get acquainted with these fruits, because that’s what God expects from Spirit-filled Christians.

If you want to walk spiritually, then you need to know the Fruits of the Spirit! Today, we’re covering love, joy, and peace as those are the main foundations a Spirit-filled Christian should stand on. Without love, we cannot follow the footsteps of Jesus; without joy, we lose our strength, and without peace, we fall victim to our circumstances.

The Bible tells us in Galatians 5:24 that “those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Meaning we do not always do what we want to do because more often than not, what our flesh wants goes against what God wants. This is why it is pivotal to be mindful of how we feed our spirit, because we must continually engage with God to keep ourselves holy. If we don’t keep this in mind, we end up filling our spirits with the world, which will lead us away from God.

The devil can be tricky, but we don’t have to be deceived; we can recognize patterns before they pull us down. One of the main goals of the devil is to make sure we never reach our full potential in God and get stuck in cycles that we never break. So, let’s be mindful of habits that pull us away from God so we don’t end up living an unfulfilled life.

Life has a way of distracting us from God’s promises and constantly tries to make our circumstances bigger than our God, but Philippians 4 tells us something very important.

How does one looking to build a relationship with God spend their time? In simple terms, including God in their routine, talking to Him, and having an overall interest in getting to know Him more and striving to be more like Him. Following this process will allow us to build a relationship with God that fully equips us to accomplish our purpose in Him.

Stop living a life that is limited to earthly vision. God gave us His Word so that we can meditate on it and live in its truth. The Bible is so much more than daily encouragement; it is meant to be lived and acted out in our daily lives!

Being aligned in your purpose extends beyond our daily devotion but also includes how we spend our time when we’re not actively spending time with God. It is pivotal to consider what we consume because the Bible says in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” So, we must be mindful of our daily influences because what we do, say, and how we act all stem from what we consume.

It’s when trials come that most people forget to act out the Word of God and instead go by their feelings. However, in those moments, it is pivotal that we stand firm in faith and in the truths of the Bible. Jesus told us that life wouldn’t be cake and rainbows, but that shouldn’t shake us, because He has overcome all the power of darkness and that same Spirit lives in us!
