Prayer is essential in a Christian lifestyle, and we cannot forsake it! The Bible tells us to pray always; I Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” It is God’s will for us to continually pray and give thanks! So, let’s learn how to pray stronger!
Use Scriptures

Nothing makes prayer stronger than using The Word itself! I John 5:14-15 says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” God’s Word is His will! So, when you pray Bible verses, you automatically know that God hears your prayers; when you know that God hears your prayers, you know they are answered! Furthermore, Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God will honor His Word, so it is in your best interest to pray His Word.
This will make your prayers and faith stronger because you’ll never have an unanswered prayer again because God doesn’t allow His word to return to Him void! Now, let me give you an example of how to do this!
Let’s use the scripture, I Peter 2:24, which says, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” So, if healing is something you’re believing in, let’s pray this! “God, I come to you believing to be healed because Your Word says, in I Peter 2:24, that by your stripes I was healed! So, God, I expect to be healed in Jesus’s Name, and I thank you for it in advance!” That is a prayer of faith that God will 100% answer, so once you prayed that, anytime you feel a symptom of sickness just remind God of His Word. You said I was healed God, so I thank you for my healing! Don’t say anything that contradicts your prayers or the Word of God! As long as you remain in faith, your request is granted!
Create a Prayer List

This step helps with organization and knowing the specific things you asked God for. I do my best to write down my prayers and the people I’m praying for. This way, I am reminded while I’m praying and avoid those blank moments. Habakkuk 2:2 says, “write the vision and make it plain.” So making a prayer list and writing down your prayers will help you envision them being answered! For me, it really helps me bring my prayers into reality and builds my faith just thinking about my prayers being answered.
Check off When Prayers Are Answered
Since you created a prayer list, when God answers them, you can go back and check them off! I promise you that seeing a checkmark next to a prayer point builds faith! Because when the devil tries to tempt you with unbelief and you go to your prayer journal and be like, “no, God answered this prayer and this prayer and that prayer, so I know He will answer the next one!” Proverbs 10:7 says, “The memory of the righteous is blessed, But the name of the wicked will rot.” Because you remember the prayers He answered, you be blessed by another answered one because you hold onto your faith! Remembering the goodness of God and knowing He doesn’t change really does build my faith! So start checking off the answered prayers so you have proof of the goodness of God and won’t be tempted by unbelief!
Create a Prayer Schedule
Sometimes when it comes to prayer, we don’t know where to start, so having a schedule can be helpful! I have a schedule where I pray for specific people on certain days; this way, I never miss anyone! You should do this for people and for overall prayer points! This will ensure that you cover everything needed in prayer and won’t miss anything!
I hope these tips helped and that you’ll feel more confident when you pray! God bless!
