Write Your Faith Goals

Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ says, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” We are to write down our plans, whether big or small. When this verse says, he may run who reads it; I think of it as, when you read your plans, you will accomplish them. Statistically, you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals when they are written down.

Writing down our faith goals brings them to life a little bit; it helps bring them into reality. Just seeing it on paper does something to our brains that makes it more believable; it’s no longer an idea, but it’s a plan; it’s action now. This will help you stay grounded because you can always go back and remember exactly what you’re believing God for! Personally, I have a journal where I write down the things I’m believing God for in faith. I do this in my prayer journal because every faith point should be a prayer point!

Pray About Everything

With that being said, you must pray about everything! Philippians 4:6 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” So, we are to pray about everything! This helps build your faith because God answers prayers all the time! ‭‭I John‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ says, “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” When you pray according to His will, God hears you, and you will have what you asked for! That’s why I pray my faith points because once I give the matter to God through prayer, it’s a done deal in my book! Prayer brings God directly into our situation and us into direct contact with Him, so don’t neglect its importance!

Get Scriptures to Back Up Your Faith

Now, how do you gain this confidence? How do you know you’re praying in God’s will? Scriptures! When you pray the scriptures or have The Word backing up your faith points, absolutely nothing can knock you down! Isaiah 55:11 says, “so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” When you have the Bible backing up what you’re believing for in faith, it is bound to happen! God’s word does not fail and does not return to Him void! It does what it says it’s gonna do! Jesus says in Mark 13:31, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” You have a Biblical right to have the things you ask and believe for! If God is going to stand by one thing, it’s His Word. If God is going to perform anything, it is His Word! God does not play about His Word, so bring His Word into your situation, and you will never fail!

For example, if you’re believing in healing, have I Peter 2:24 as one of your scriptures. Which says, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” So, in conversation with God, you can say, God, you said that by Your stripes I was healed, so I thank you for my healing.” It’s important to say God’s Word over your situation rather than complain because God’s Word will accelerate your miracles! And that brings me to my next point, faith-filled words.

Say Faith-Filled Words

You must say things that align with your prayers and God’s Word. Complaining or saying anything that is the opposite of God’s Word will actually weaken your faith. Because complaining prevents blessings! God can’t work in an atmosphere of unbelief, and your words signify whether you believe or not. Even if you don’t feel like it, say it! Because each time you say something from the Word of God, your faith does get stronger. You start to believe it more! Mark 11:23 says, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” So, you will have what you say! So why not say what the Word of God says you can have? You can have healing, prosperity, happiness, joy, safety, and peace; those are all things given to us through God’s Word!

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭13 says, “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,” Speaking increases your belief which increases your faith! Stop saying what you feel and say what God says and I promise you, you will see miracles, signs, and wonders come to pass! I can testify myself that I see almost everything I say come to pass, so I choose my words carefully. This is so vital, do not skip this or neglect it! God’s Word is powerful and is meant to be spoken! God created the worlds with His Words, and we have that same creative power, let’s use it grow our faith!

Expect God to Perform and Don’t Doubt

Finally, expect God to come through! Because He will! If you do the steps just mentioned, I promise God will perform. Jesus said in Mark 11:23, do not doubt, and you WILL have whatever you say. Not might, not maybe, but WILL! Psalm 62:5 says, “My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.” Our expectation is from God! The God who never fails, whose faithfulness carries from generation to generation, who never forsakes us or leaves us, who is always with us, who has good plans for us to prosper and give us hope! Our expectation comes from Him, so how could you ever doubt? How could you ever fail? Additionally, Proverbs 10:28 says, “The hope of the righteous will be gladness, But the expectation of the wicked will perish.” So, our expectation and hope are to bring us joy! Why? Because God is going to come through! He never allows His faithfulness to fail! You get what you expect, so if you expect nothing, you will get nothing. James 1:6-7 says, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;” Doubting kills faith; you can’t get anything from God with doubt. That’s why you must stand firm in your expectation, so let’s start expecting something from God and expecting something good! Because it WILL happen! Believe for the best from God and get the best from God!

I hope these tips helped with your faith journey! God bless!
