Most Important Lessons Learned On My Faith Walk: Week 2

the-best-things-i-learned-about-faith

Hello, and welcome to the best things I learned about faith this week! Last week was filled with many good things, and I learned good things about myself, walking with God, and overcoming fear. Personally, I’m still working on these things this week, and you guys will find out about them next week! I am continually expecting the blessing of the Lord and seeing His glory in my life! So, let’s get into the best things I learned about faith this week!

The Best Be in Peace

Best-things-I-Learned-about-faith-be-at-peace

In the past, I’ve been the kind of person that would worry a lot. I would allow fear to overrule me, but I’ve been overcoming that. As I’ve gotten to know God more, trusting Him and expecting good things daily has been easier because I’m a child of God. I tend to base my merit for blessings or God’s care of me on what I do. For instance, how much do I post on social media and the blog, and did I do enough YouTube videos this week?? However, that is not what gets me to be blessed. Those things offer more significance and bigger blessings, but I’ve realized I am blessed simply because I am a child of God.

Don’t Be Overwhelmed

As someone still trying to get out of that work mindset, I have to remind myself not to get overwhelmed. God has called me to do a lot; I’m running five social media pages and this blog. However, if He called me, I know He equipped me! Also, when handling all these things, I should not beat myself up if I don’t post a thousand times on each platform daily. I’m also in school, and God constantly tells me to calm down and take a deep breath.

If He calls you, He has equipped you and will give you a plan! He has given me a plan to handle everything: literally wake up at the crack of dawn. This way, I have time to be in my Word, pray, do homework, post on socials, and do everything God wants me to! I can do all things through Christ, so I must repeatedly remind myself to lean on God and not my own understanding.

The Best Thing I Learned About Faith is to Trust Him

Best-thing-I-Learned-About-Faith-Trust-God

Proverbs 3:5-6 says,” Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” My own understanding is that all of this is too much, and I can’t do it all successfully. However, when I acknowledge God, He gives me a plan to execute everything successfully. So, I trust Him, which is what I’ve been learning. No matter what, trust God, Who knows best and has an excellent plan for you!

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Everything God tells you is to prosper you. Everything works out for you as a Christian because of God’s plans. And His plans are great! So, the best thing I’ve been learning about faith is getting to know God’s character more. Knowing that He is faithful, He doesn’t lie, He provides for me, and He doesn’t allow me to be moved, no matter the circumstances!

Be in Joy

Joy directly indicates one’s faith, indicating how much one trusts God! You have joy because you know that God is good and things are working out for you! There is no other choice but for things to work out for you! So, this week, I have been monitoring my joy. There have been moments where I feel neutral, not joyful, but also not sad. I know I have to evaluate my faith and see why I’m not in 100% joy, and I say it’s because some fear may still be present. I have to rebuke all fear concerning my situation and get full peace and joy concerning it.

No matter how scary your situation may be, God is good! He is not going to let you down because you are His child. Psalm 55:22 says,” Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” In the natural, my situation does not look good, but I stand on the Word of God. The joy of the Lord is my strength, I know I can make it because I depend on the Lord, and He will not permit for me to be moved. God keeps me stable in every circumstance! I have to work on being more excited for the future because God is working everything out for my good!

He Loves You

Psalm 89:33-36 says, “Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not utterly take from him, Nor allow My faithfulness to fail. My covenant I will not break, Nor alter the Word that has gone out of My lips. Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.” One of the best things I learned about faith is that it depends on how much you believe God loves you! How could we believe in miracles if we don’t believe in this amazing, never-ending love?

God does these incredible things mainly because He loves us! Know that God will never take His love away from us! Because He loves us, He will never fail us, break His covenant, or alter His Word. You can believe the Bible because of the immense love of God! I’ve learned this week that God won’t fail me because He loves me.

Love will keep your faith grounded, your love for Him, and your knowledge of His love for you. If you have a hard time grasping this, just say it out loud continually, “God loves me; therefore, He will not fail me!”

Prosperity is Coming!

As college students, finances can be tricky at times, but with God, nothing is impossible! And I can testify that God always provides and always provides right when I need it! If you are still waiting on payday, this is for you! God will not allow His children to lack. Psalm 23:1 says, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not lack,” The Lord is your shepherd as a child of God, so you are not permitted to lack. Other versions say, “I shall not want” or “I have all I need.” So, you will never lack and always have what you want and need!

The Best Thing I Learned About Faith is to Use Your Words!

Last week, funds were looking interesting, as I said, waiting for payday. So, on Tuesday, I started saying, “Thank you, God, for my harvest; I am expecting a harvest.” I just continually said that all day. I tithed the previous day because my mom gave me money, and every time I tithe, I expect a harvest! The following day, I checked my school email, and financial aid gave me a disbursement of more funds, which they processed on Tuesday! The day I was saying, “Thank you, God, for my harvest, I am expecting a harvest!”

I was thanking God for a harvest I had no idea about! Mark 11:23 says, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” You will have what you say! Good or bad, so be mindful of your words and ensure they align with God’s Word. This is how you will see blessings manifest in your life! Stop speaking failure; start speaking victory! You get what you expect; if you say more good things, you expect more good things.

Tithing Works

Malachi 3:10 says,” Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” I am an advent tither, God gets His 10%! So, I expect that the floodgates of heaven are open upon my life. I refuse to accept lack because God’s Word is true! And because I give, I am not permitted to lack!

I’ve seen God carry me through March supernaturally. I expect the same for April, that He is going to get me through, pay every bill, car note, expense, etc., because I am utilizing the supernatural laws of money. And what is that? In short: tithing, giving to the poor, giving in general as directed by the Holy Spirit, expecting a harvest, and following God’s instructions. If you do those things, know that God will not have you out here lacking! He will provide for every single need, every single time, and right on time, too!

Others Get Blessed Through You

One of the best things I learned about faith this week is that others get blessed when I am blessed. I realized that money is a motivator, and it let me know I’m on the right path. I’ve asked God so many times if I am meant to be doing Refined for Christ full-time, and He has never told me not. I’ve looked for other things to do, but they haven’t worked out. So, I know I’m doing what He wants me to.

When Refined for Christ gets blessed, it lets me know that I am in God’s will. You never lack when you’re God’s will! Also, as I’ve said before, I’m a giver. So, God blessing me means that His kingdom gets blessed, too. His ministers and His children all get blessed when I get blessed! And when you live your life like that, expect God to bless you!

I’m still working on the expecting part, so I’ve started saying, “I’m expecting a harvest on my giving.” It’s one thing to know from God’s Word, but another thing to expect to see in the natural. However, that expectation causes those miracles to manifest and for you to walk in continual favor and blessing! Start expecting every single day!

The Best Thing I Learned About Faith is Not Give in to Fear

Last week, I experienced a situation that seemed pretty scary, and I immediately started crying. I thought about how to fix it with my own strength, and if that situation was a test, I didn’t perform well. 🙁 I called my mom, and she gave me some advice. Let me tell you how quickly God turned that situation around!

II Timothy 1:7 says, “God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind,” fear is never a God response. If you find yourself about to have a panic attack or meltdown about a situation, take a deep breath. Calm down and remind yourself of God’s Word. God’s Word is a covenant that He won’t break, so stand on it! He knows what you need, so find supporting scriptures in the Bible and start saying them.

The enemy is banking on you giving up, but Galatians 6:9 says,” And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. “No matter what your situation looks like, don’t give up! You are promised to reap in due season, and the greatest thing about it all is that we rely on God’s strength to sustain us! His strength is everlasting, so we are guaranteed to reap! Look up; stop caring about what it looks like. God’s got you in the end, and He will quickly turn around your situation!

Remain in His Will

One of the best things I learned about faith is to check in with God constantly. When you always inquire God about your next steps, you will always remain in His will. I did that a lot this week, as I said before, because I questioned whether Refined for Christ was supposed to be my full-time thing. He told me, yes it is, but I need to put even more effort! I know to some people, it may seem I am putting in a lot of effort, but I know I can do more, and so does God!

God will pull more out of you than you think you have! He has been doing that with me, and I am just amazed at the plans He has for me. It is essential to check in because God will redirect your steps. So, it was encouraging that God didn’t redirect me but told me to increase what I’m doing, which is exciting!

The Best Things I Learned About Faith

I am ecstatic to see what God has in store for me and the future. As time passes, I will continue to share and get into more detail as the Lord allows. If you want to know God and have a relationship with Him, say this prayer: “Dear Heavenly Father, I repent of my sins and turn my back to them; I believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for my sins and rose on the third day. I accept Him into my heart now; I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart Jesus is Lord. By faith, I give Him my whole life, heart, mind, and soul. Amen!” If you said this prayer, go to the I Just Got Saved page for church recommendations, a Bible, and a journal! I hope this helped, and God bless!
